About Us

As a young couple in an often stressful world, crafting products for Small Batch gives us an opportunity to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. Handcrafted from recycled materials that are sourced from local wineries, distilleries, and breweries, each product is one of a kind, and of course, created in small batches.

Kailie Scott

With her mom being the general manager of a local Virginia Winery, Kailie has always been around the industry and is truly fascinated by the process of wine making. Since when she was a little kid, she helped pick grapes, worked in the tasting room, and sometimes even clean the tanks (because she was the only one small enough to!). While she worked, she always noticed an abundance of barrels not being used and bottles simply being thrown in the garbage, and always wanted to turn them into treasures. This is where the idea of Small Batch originated.

In her free time, Kailie enjoys being at the beach, horseback riding, and finding out of how we can protect our environment. She is currently in a Masters program through JMU (Go Dukes!) for Ocean Conservation, and recently finished up an internship with Oceana in Washington, DC.

Garrett Zendek

Garrett loves working with his hands and turning visions into reality! Working with recycled bottles and barrels gives him the ability to do so. The hard oak and the unique geometry of the barrel staves along with the careful process of cutting glass creates challenges in design and production, which Garrett strives to conquer.

When Garrett isn't working in his career in marketing and business development for a General Contractor… or sanding staves, you will find him flying his drone, editing videos, and running his other business, Linx Watch Accessories.

THANK YOU

Thank you so much for the support in our endeavors. Crafting unique items truly excites us, and we cannot wait for them to end up in your home. We hope that you enjoy using them as much as we enjoy creating them.
